Mission

The Alliance for Community Capacity Building in Northeast India (Reg. Charity No. 1106666) works 'to develop the capacities and the skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged communities of the states in north east India in such a way as they are better able to identify, and help meet their needs to participate more fully in society'. We also respond with your support to the victims of atrocities and natural calamities helping them to build their lives again. Our activities are carried out by our sister Indian not-for-profit Prag Foundation.

Current Initiative

We are raising money to build a modern state of the art skills & enterprise centre at Guwahati, Assam to serve as a nerve centre for all our capacity-building initiatives. The centre will help us to professionally carry out capacity-building intiatives throughout the region directed at human resources development (equipping individuals with the understanding, skills and access to information, knowledge and training that enable them to perform effectively).

In near future the centre will support satellite affiliated centres run by grass root organisations creating a regional network to outreach vulnerbale communities helping its members to build capacity and skills. We will train and nurture volunteers from the local educational institutions to support our activities who in the proces will bebefit from career-building experience.
